During this talk, Patyt will talk about her research about how social movements use the Internet. She will share the different ways in which action groups and collectives are reshaping this technology by resisting algorithms, leaving Big Tech to explore alternative platforms, or even setting up their own servers. After covering these different alternatives, the audience can engage in a discussion of whether these alternatives feel accessible, and how we could all participate in reshaping the Internet from our own homes.

How much water does an average modern person need? 2 or 3 litres per day? Not even close.
